The Cardinals went through the province’s best to win it. A 1-0 win over the Delta Blue Jays opened the tournament on Wednesday, and a 13-1 win over the defending champion Langley Blaze followed on Thursday.
Friday evening brought the tournament’s first loss, 6-4 to the Victoria Eagles, and with it the long road through the elimination bracket. Facing elimination on Saturday, the Cardinals shut out the Blaze 4-0 to reach championship Sunday.
Victoria arrived undefeated, so the Cardinals needed to win twice. In the morning game, right-hander Dylan De Meyer threw a no-hitter in a 3-0 win that forced a winner-take-all final. In that final, the Cardinals won 12-1, and the 2026 provincial championship came home to Abbotsford.
