Nicholson, inducted into the 2026 Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame
A tremendous honor for one of our own
The Abbotsford Cardinals would like to congratulate Coach Kevin Nicholson on his induction into the Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame!
Nicholson was named the league’s Most Valuable Player in 1996 after leading the league in doubles (18) while batting .315 with 3 HRs and 23 RBIs.
The Cape Cod Baseball League is widely recognized as one of the premier collegiate summer baseball leagues in North America. Nicholson’s MVP season with the Wareham Gatemen helped launch his professional career, as he was selected in the 1st Round of the 1997 MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres. Nicholson also was a member of the Canadian National Team and Olympic Team during his amateur and professional career.
Nicholson enters his fourth season with the Abbotsford Cardinals, coming off a 2026 season where the Cardinals were crowned BCPBL Provincial Champions.
Nicholson is one of five inductees in the 2026 Hall of Fame Class, with the induction ceremony set for November 15 in Harwich, Massachusetts.
Congratulations to Kevin Nicholson on this outstanding achievement!
